Ceramic Mid-Century Ikebana Flower Vase, Japan, 1960s
Striking ikebana flower vase from Japan, dating from the 1960s.
Dimensions: height 17.5 cm, width 29 cm, depth 20 cm. In perfect condition.
The vase has an organic, slightly asymmetrical shape and features a round opening that functions as a ‘handle’, surrounded by radiating carved lines.
The natural glaze on the exterior is executed in warm brown and beige tones, with darker accents adding depth and texture. A geometric carved diamond pattern runs across the entire surface, giving the vase a distinct mid-century character.
The interior is finished in a soft cream-colored glaze, creating a beautiful contrast.
A unique and sculptural interior piece, ideal for ikebana arrangements, but equally striking as a decorative object that adds elegance and character to any interior.
