Small Japanese Chadansu Cabinet with Sliding Doors, Japan, 1930s

This small Japanese cabinet is the kind of smart, practical piece that was truly used in everyday home life. Its layout resembles a compact chadansu/mizuya cabinet: an open upper compartment to keep tea and serving items within easy reach (and nicely on display), and enclosed storage below for anything you prefer to keep out of sight.
