Small Japanese Wooden Table with Folding Legs, 1950s
This small Japanese table from the 1950s has a restrained and refined appearance.
Dimensions: height 21 cm, width 59 cm, depth 42.5 cm.
The top has a warm reddish-brown tone with a beautiful, gently aged patina that gives the wood depth and character. The rounded corners and simple straight legs create a calm design that works easily in both Japanese-inspired and more contemporary interiors. A particularly nice detail is the folding construction: the legs can be folded away completely, allowing the table to be stored compactly when not in use.
Its low height makes it an especially versatile piece, whether used as a small side table or as a display surface. It is ideal for presenting Japanese ceramics, art objects, ikebana, books, or other carefully chosen items. Placed on a sideboard, a low cabinet, or in a quiet seating area, it also works as a subtle accent that brings immediate warmth and atmosphere to a space.
In beautiful condition, with light wear and patina consistent with age and use. Solid and functional.
