Kutani Sake Set with Floral and Gold Decoration, Japan, 1970s
Rare, complete Japanese sake set in its original box, consisting of two tokkuri (flasks) and ten ochoko (cups). The set is made of porcelain with a delicate crackle glaze and richly decorated with hand-painted motifs of chrysanthemums, leaves, and bamboo.
Flask (tokkuri): height 16 cm, diameter 7 cm
Cup (ochoko): height 4 cm, diameter 5 cm
The finely detailed painting in gold, red, and green is characteristic of the refined craftsmanship of Kutani porcelain. The dark band at the base, adorned with turquoise dots and gold detailing, provides an elegant contrast to the soft glaze tone.
Each piece bears a red seal mark of the maker. A beautifully preserved ensemble that radiates luxury and Japanese sophistication — perfect for collectors or as a decorative accent in a contemporary interior.
