Minimalist Bizen Yaki Ikebana Flower Vase, 1950s, Japan.
This unique Japanese ikebana vase is a beautiful example of Bizen-yaki - one of the oldest and most valued ceramic styles from Japan.
Dimensions: height 25 cm, diameter 12 cm. In excellent condition with the maker's signature at the bottom.
The vase is made from stoneware and shows rich, warm brown to reddish hues with subtle speckles and flame marks created during the wood-fired baking process. The shape is powerful yet restrained: a wide cylinder that transitions into a narrow, tall neck.
On both sides there are characteristic triangular lugs with openings, allowing the vase to also be used as a hanging vase.
Its timeless design and natural imperfections transform it into more than just a flower vase - it's a vibrant interior accent that tells stories about craftsmanship, nature and beauty in simplicity.
Perfect for ikebana enthusiasts and collectors of authentic Japanese ceramics, yet equally an impressive statement piece for anyone seeking a unique art object with soul and history.
