Product Details

Dimensions per canvas: height 43 cm, width 28 cm. The wooden frames differ slightly in size.

A decorative pair of Australian Aboriginal paintings titled Women’s Ceremony, executed in acrylic paint on canvas and professionally mounted in natural wooden frames.

Both compositions are arranged around a bold central motif, surrounded by flowing lines and refined dot patterns. Warm shades of ochre, rust brown, cream and deep brown create a rich and harmonious palette associated with the landscape and the natural pigments traditionally connected with Aboriginal art.

Although the two works differ slightly in composition, they clearly belong together visually. The repetition of concentric forms, rhythmic lines and carefully applied dots gives the paintings a strong graphic quality and a sense of movement and connection.

The title Women’s Ceremony refers to female ceremonial traditions. As the artist is unknown and no further documentation concerning the specific symbolism is available, the imagery is deliberately not interpreted in greater detail.

The paintings are particularly attractive when displayed as a pair, either side by side or one above the other, but can also be presented individually. Their differing wooden frames give each work its own character while reinforcing the warm, natural appearance of the set.

The artist is unknown. Both works originate from Aboriginal Gallery DACOU Australia, providing them with clear gallery provenance.

In excellent vintage condition. The canvases and frames show no distracting damage.

A harmonious and visually powerful pair of Aboriginal paintings with a warm and highly decorative presence.
