Beautiful set of five antique Owan bowls with exquisite Urushi lacquer colors: vermilion and black (Urushi = lacquered wood). The inside of the lids and the bowls are decorated using the Maki-e (蒔絵) technique: The lids are adorned with five different scenes featuring cranes, while the bowls feature a pine tree decoration. This historically rich set will serve as an authentic decorative element in the interior of any Japan enthusiast!

Bowl dimensions: height 9.5 cm, diameter 13 cm. The set is in good condition, with normal signs of aging and damage.
