A characterful set of two antique glass pharmacy bottles, originating from the Van Huffelen pharmacy in Antwerp and retaining their original paper labels and glass stoppers.

Dimensions per bottle: height 30 cm, diameter 14 cm.

The large clear-glass bottles have a classic cylindrical shape with rounded shoulders and wide glass stoppers. Their timeworn labels bear handwritten inscriptions identifying their former contents: Benzine and Sulfate de Cuivre, the French term for copper sulphate.

Bright blue crystalline traces remain visible inside the copper sulphate bottle. Their intense colour creates a striking decorative contrast with the transparent glass and warmly aged paper labels. The wear, discolouration and small signs of use give both bottles an authentic appearance and reflect their original function within a historic pharmacy.

Today, these bottles make an eye-catching set for a cabinet of curiosities, display cabinet, bathroom, shop interior or collection of medical and pharmaceutical objects. Their generous proportions allow them to be displayed beautifully either together or individually.

In attractive antique condition, without visible cracks or major damage. The labels show wear, staining, small tears and discolouration consistent with their age. Traces of the former contents remain inside; the bottles are therefore intended solely as decorative collector’s objects and should not be used for storing food or liquids.
