Negoro-nuri (根来塗り) is a traditional Japanese lacquer technique. It is known for its unique style where lacquer pieces receive multiple layers of red lacquer, which are then polished to reveal the black underlayer. The result is a distinctive, aged appearance, where the contrast between the red and black layers creates a visually striking, antique look.
