This expressive sōsaku kokeshi was handcrafted by Tomio Ishida, an artist known for his playful and refined style. The doll is signed on the base with a red name stamp.

The kokeshi features a rounded, almost pear-shaped body and a striking hairstyle with a large black topknot and fine vertical brushstrokes accentuating the hair. The face is typical of sōsaku pieces: simple, cheerful, and charming, with a wide smile and round eyes — a distinctly kawaii expression.

The kimono is richly painted in deep green tones with floral motifs in creamy yellow and red. Blossom branches and abstract patterns adorn both the front and back of the sleeves and body, while a red underlayer and white fan motifs in the collar and hair accessories provide a vivid contrast.
