This expressive terracotta figure is crafted in the style of traditional Haniwa statues from Japan's Kofun period.

Originally, Haniwa served as ritual funerary figures, placed around burial mounds as symbolic guardians and spiritual protectors.

With its characteristic pose — hands on hips — and simply stylized face, this piece radiates a powerful sense of serenity.
