Product Details

An understated kokeshi that gives the form and warmth of the wood room to shine.

Dimensions: height 30 cm, diameter 9 cm.

The face emerges subtly between the carved lines of the hair and clothing. The natural wood grain has developed a soft, warm patina over time. Murakami was known for this restrained approach, and the base bears his signature. A lovely piece for kokeshi collectors, equally beautiful displayed on its own in an interior.

In very good vintage condition. A fine crack on the back has formed as the wood has naturally settled over time. It is a gentle sign of age that does not detract from the piece.
