Vintage Kyo Yaki Plate Set with Calligraphy, Japan, 1960s.

This beautiful set consists of one larger plate and five smaller plates, originating from Kyoto (Kyo Yaki), from the 1960s.

Large plate (1 piece): height 2.5 cm, diameter 23 cm.

Small plates (5 pieces): height 2 cm, diameter 15.5 cm.

The plates feature a calming moss green color, with the edges revealing the natural color of the clay. Each plate is adorned with elegant, almost abstract calligraphic symbols, which may represent flower, moon, sky, longevity, luck, or beauty.
