Product Details

Decorative Japanese Hibachi, a traditional 'fire pot' made of paulownia wood from the early Shōwa period.

Dimensions: height 18 cm, diameter 22 cm. The hibachi includes a removable copper lining intended for ash and charcoal.

The wooden fire pot is adorned at the front with a floral motif in the Maki-e technique (蒔絵). The back features small details of autumn leaves and pine needles.

A charming and authentic accent for any interior.

Originally, this hibachi was used as a hand warmer, but today it serves multiple modern purposes, such as an original plant holder or purely as a decorative element.

The word "hibachi" is derived from the Japanese words "hi" (fire) and "bachi" (pot), meaning a pot for fire.
