Vintage Replogle Relief Globe ‘World Classic’, Japanese Edition, 1980s
This vintage globe by Replogle Globes, Inc. was made in the United States and produced for the Japanese market. The cartography and place names are in Japanese, while the model itself belongs to Replogle’s classic “World Classic” series—one of the best-known makers of quality globes in the 20th century.
Afmetingen: hoogte 40 cm, diameter 30 cm.
The globe is made of paper over a moulded relief sphere and set in a metal meridian ring with a degree scale. It rotates smoothly, so it’s not only decorative but also fully functional as a working globe. The base has a gold-toned composite finish, giving the piece an elegant mid-century feel.
A perfect object for anyone drawn to cartography, travel history, or understated vintage accents. On a desk, sideboard, or in an open shelf, this globe instantly adds warmth, texture, and character.
In very good vintage condition, with light signs of use and natural age-related wear consistent with its time and past handling.
