Swedish Desk Lamp Attributed to Fagerhults, ca. 1970–1980
Dimensions: height 50 cm, width 37 cm, depth 20 cm.
A stylish Swedish desk lamp dating from the 1970s–1980s, attributed to Fagerhults and made from white-lacquered metal with contrasting black details.
The lamp has a clean and functional silhouette, composed of a weighted circular base, a slender curved arm and a broadly rounded metal shade. The flowing line of the arm gives the design an elegant appearance, while the shade directs the light downwards onto the working surface.
The interior of the shade has a reflective metal finish, enhancing the warm light and distributing it efficiently across the desk. A black push switch is positioned on top of the shade, forming a subtle graphic detail that corresponds beautifully with the black edging around the shade and base.
Its clear form, restrained colour palette and practical construction are characteristic of Scandinavian design from the second half of the 20th century. Thanks to its timeless appearance, the lamp works equally well on a desk, bedside table, low cabinet or reading table.
In very good vintage condition, with light signs of use and minor discolouration consistent with age and use. The lamp is in working order.
An elegant and functional Scandinavian design lamp with a calm and timeless silhouette.
