Antique Japanese Choba Dansu merchant chest - late Edo period

Antique Japanese Choba Dansu (merchant chest) made of wood. It has round locks and iron ornamental fittings. Dates to the late Edo period, circa 1850. This tansu is in very nice condition and has natural signs of wear in relation to its age. The cabinet is structurally completely in order and has been professionally cleaned and treated. Beautiful authentic piece with a rich history. Japanese Wabi Sabi Inspiration, can be combined in any kind of interior.
