Antique Calligraphy Tansu from the Meiji Period, Japan.
An authentic Japanese storage furniture piece intended for the preservation of writing instruments, such as calligraphy supplies.
This splendid specimen dates back to the late Meiji period (around 1900) and exhibits a beautifully weathered appearance.
The cabinet features four drawers of varying sizes. The sides are equipped with recesses, allowing the furniture to be easily moved.
