Complete Vintage GO Game Board Goban Kaya, Taishō period, Japan.

A beautiful Go board made of Keyaki wood, complete with Goseki-ire (碁石入れ) for storing the black and white stones.

Dimensions: height 26 cm, width 45 cm, depth 40.5 cm.

The storage boxes or Goseki-ire with lids are made of wood and contain 181 black stones and 180 white stones.

The Keyaki wood board dates from the Taishō period and has developed a beautiful patina. The playing surface is in good condition.

The solid wooden block is finished with elegantly designed legs.

This set has high decorative value and can, of course, still be used for playing Go—an ideal opportunity to experience this Japanese tradition in an authentic way.
