Authentic Ranma (欄間) from Japan, Taisho period, 1920s.

Dimensions: height 42 cm, width 171.5 cm, depth 2.5 cm.

Ranma are wooden insert panels used in interior decoration.

They were typically placed above traditional sliding doors that separated different living spaces.

This piece is hand-carved and double-sided, featuring a depiction of a mountain landscape with temples and pine trees.

Note: this ranma has a missing section, as shown in the photos.

These wooden panels are ideal as unique wall decorations and will instantly add a Japanese atmosphere to your interior.

This item can be picked up at our store in Antwerp, Belgium.
