Iwami-yaki (ware) 石見焼 ceramics, 'stone plate', late Edo/early Meiji period.

This Iwami-yaki kitchen dish is similar to Seto ceramics and is an excellent example of the functional traditional dishes used for food in the villages.

The bottom bears a maker's mark and the marking of a former owner.

Authentic piece and of very high quality. Dimensions: diameter is 33.5 cm, height is 8.5 cm.
