Product Details

Small Japanese storage cabinet from the 1950s–1960s, made of sugi, Japanese cedar. The piece has a compact, well-balanced form with three drawers on the left and a compartment with a drop-down door on the right.

Dimensions: height 30 cm, width 36.5 cm, depth 20 cm.

The wood has a particularly expressive grain, with warm brown tones and dark accentuated lines that beautifully highlight the structure of the Japanese cedar. The gently waved finish of the top and the carved details give the cabinet an artisanal, slightly sculptural presence.

The three drawers are lined with red textile on the inside, adding an extra refined detail. This makes the piece especially suitable for storing jewellery, valuables, stationery or small personal objects. The right-hand compartment with drop-down door offers additional practical storage space.

Thanks to its compact size, this cabinet also works beautifully today as a display stand or small accent piece for ceramics, ikebana, bonsai or a special object. A warm and decorative piece with a natural wabi-sabi character, suitable for a minimalist, Japanese or contemporary interior.

Condition: beautiful vintage condition with normal traces of use, light wear and patina consistent with age; solid, functional and highly decorative.
