Japanese Tea Cupboard Cha Tansu, Taisho Era
This beautiful classic Cha Tansu, a traditional Japanese tea chest, features seven drawers and three storage compartments. Two of the compartments are equipped with glass sliding doors and internal shelves. The chest dates back to the Taisho period (1912-1926).
This piece of furniture is not only convenient and practical for storing your favorite items but also adds a touch of Oriental atmosphere to your interior.
Dimensions: height 114.5 cm, width 90 cm, depth 43 cm. It is in good condition with normal signs of use.
Cha Tansu, also known as Chabitsu or Chagama Tansu, is specially designed for storing and displaying tea utensils and equipment used in the Japanese tea ceremony. "Cha" refers to tea, and "Tansu" means chest or storage.
