Product Details

A low Japanese tansu with two spacious drawers and a rich, dark wood patina.

Dimensions: height 48.5 cm, width 86 cm, depth 42.5 cm.

The visible wood grain contrasts with the black frame, metal corner fittings and round lock plates. Curved drawer pulls and carrying handles on the sides complete its understated design.

The chest also works beautifully as a side table or low sideboard, with a lamp, books or an ikebana arrangement on top. Its two spacious drawers offer useful storage for textiles and other belongings.

In attractive antique condition, with normal signs of use and some gaps caused by the wood’s natural movement over time. Supplied without a key.
