Beautiful Japanese tansu cabinet made of paulownia wood from the Meiji period (Meiji 42, 1909).
Dimensions: height 54 cm, width 58 cm, depth 33 cm.
This decorative piece features a total of six drawers. In the bottom left, there are two small drawers hidden behind a small door.
The storage unit is elegantly finished with metal fittings and handles, and it has two carrying handles on the sides.
The drawers have hand-painted Japanese calligraphy on the underside and sides, indicating that this piece was once used as an archive chest for registration documents dating back to 1909.
This authentic Japanese tansu is a wonderful addition to any stylish interior. Its size makes it perfect for displaying plants, ceramics, or other small decorative items.
