Product Details

Small traditional Japanese folding screen or Byōbu 屏風 used in tea ceremonies.

Dimensions: height 55 cm, width 188 cm, depth 2 cm.

This wooden screen consists of two panels and is finished with rice paper and blue fabric.

The other side is adorned with a pattern of squares in gold, copper, and rust colors.

This Byōbu still has its original cardboard packaging and originates from a specialty tea utensils store called Shirai Suiseidō (白井瑞泉堂), located in Numazu, Shizuoka Prefecture.

The room screen protected the portable brazier under the teapot (Furosaki) from the wind.
