Product Details

Beautiful, dark lacquered (Urushi) bamboo ikebana flower arranging vase. This ikebana vase boasts a very delicate and elegant design, created for Nageirebana, a spontaneous form of Ikebana.

In this style, flowers are "thrown" into a vase or container rather than being carefully placed. The word "nageire" literally means "thrown in" in Japanese.

The piece is crafted from a single piece of symmetrical bamboo, flaring open at the top to accommodate tall arrangements and featuring a decorative handle and a beautifully shaped crossbar, which also serves to frame the arrangement. The vase includes a copper liner inside as a water reservoir.

Dimensions: height 68 cm, width 27 cm, depth 11 cm.
