A beautiful set of eleven Japanese wooden serving tables from the Taishō period, complete with original wooden storage box.
Dimensions of 10 serving tables: height 9.5 cm, width 28.5 cm, depth 28.5 cm.
Dimensions of storage box: height 46 cm, width 43.5 cm, depth 44 cm.
These tables were used to present and serve dishes during ceremonies and festivities.
The interior is red urushi lacquer, while the exterior is black lacquered. The raised edge is finished with gold.
The serving table rests on four beautifully shaped legs.
The wooden storage box features a removable panel and two metal handles to facilitate transportation.
