Dimensions: Height 22 cm, Width 21 cm, Depth 30 cm
This beautifully aged wooden cabinet features metal handles and fittings. At the top, there is a convenient storage compartment that was traditionally used to keep calligraphy supplies.
The drawers and storage space bear old ink stains and include a handwritten Japanese text, which dates the piece to Meiji 37 (the year 1904 in the Western calendar).
An authentic and unique item, perfect for storing small office supplies, jewelry, or other trinkets.
This Kake-Suzuri cabinet boasts a distinctive weathered appearance and no longer includes a key.
Originally, the Kake-Suzuri (懸硯) was a small storage furniture piece designed to hold valuable documents and writing tools.
