Exquisite vintage Cha Tansu or Japanese tea chest.
This tea chest features five drawers and two storage compartments with sliding doors, one of which is glass-paneled. Dimensions: 105.5 cm in height, 89 cm in width, 35.5 cm in depth.

Pay close attention to the wooden joints, where no nails or screws have been used, and the fine finishing with beautifully grained veneer.
In good condition, with normal signs of use. Cha Tansu, also known as Chabitsu or Chagama Tansu, is specially designed for storing and displaying tea utensils used in the Japanese tea ceremony. "Cha" refers to tea, and "Tansu" means chest or storage.
